ABOUT LAST GAME: Columbia dropped the series finale to the Augusta GreenJackets on Sunday, 10-5. The home team tallied 11 hits, three of which from second baseman Blake Tiberi

O-KAYAnthony Kay’s first professional start in the Mets organization went just fine on Sunday. Eighteen months after Tommy John surgery, Kay struck out four over four innings and did not allow an earned run. Kay had not pitched in the Mets system in 2016 and 2017 due to the injury.

START ME UP: Columbia's starting pitchers have all turned in splendid performances to begin the year:
· April 5, Tony Dibrell: 4 IP, 1 H, 0 ER, 6 K
· April 6, Joe Cavallaro: 6 IP, 2 ER, 8 K
· April 7, Jake Simon: 6 IP, 1 ER, 4 K
· April 8, Anthony Kay: 4 IP, 0 ER, 4 K

Collectively, Columbia’s starters have posted a 1.35 ERA plus 22 strikeouts in four games. Chris Viall, the sixth-round draft pick of the Mets out of Stanford in ‘16, toes the rubber tonight vs. Hagerstown

HOT STARTBlake Tiberi has two three-hit games in just four days. The Taylor Mill, Kentucky, native is hitting .500 (8-for-16) with 3 RBIs to begin the year. Tiberi got off to a fast start a year ago, reaching base six times in his first two games as a Firefly.

4-FOR-4: Both Blake Tiberi and Jeremy Vasquez have reached base safely in the season’s first four games.

ROUNDING SECONDEdgardo Fermin has as many triples as any of his teammates have XBHs. The infielder blasted his second into the right-center field alley on Sunday.
