Another small but positive move.

1. Matt will get a second lease in his baseball life

2. David Thompson can now get most of the AAA 3B at-bats

Joking or serious?

Very serious..I’m a novice

Well, a number of ways...

It could be money paid by the Nats to us... Or frankly it could be money we have paid them to take over Matt's contract.

My guess is a third option... The Nats are paying us an undisclosed amount of International money that we can use in the next International signing period.

Wow. Where does Alderson find these takers?

It's good that we got something in return. Reynolds should have been the first cut to the 40-man roster but survived until now. He's behind Reyes and Flores on the big league bench, and probably has fallen behind the likes of guys like Phil Evans in AAA who may have gotten a bit of a second look seeing how well TJ Rivera did. Cecchini still has pride of selection in his favor. Guillorme is upcoming as well. There was simply no room at the inn.

It will be curious to see where Reynolds fits in with the Nets.

Nats, not Nets.

Tom -

He might get more turns on the Nets.

And yet, I have a bad feeling about this.
