No way, Jose! I thought you wanted to stay! Many are OK if you go away.

Ceciliani back to Vegas? The Mets have very few OFs of any capability in the minors. He hit .400/.400/.1.200 for the Jays - OK, it was only 5 at bats. Once again, he missed a huge chunk of the season presumably with injury(ies).

Kevin Long will help Murphy learn to really hit now. Conservatively, .400/60/180 in 2018. LOL.

Phil Evans has resigned with the club on a minor league deal.

He was eligible to declare Rule 55 minor league free agency

If the team wasn't going to re-sign him, Jose was automatically a FA, so this is a formality. If they need the 40-man slot but still want him, he can sign MnL deal now, or a ML one after the Rule 5.

Well, they have already inked on malcontent in Asdrubal Cabrera...on Reyes it all depends on whether or not he's ready to accept a part-time role and for how much money. If he comes back as a bench player I'm fine with it. If he's a starter then we're in for another very long season.

I agree with Reese on Jose. Frankly I thought it was either he or Cabrera but not both. I only see them having interest in Jose if his market is weak and they deal Wilmer. But, the tremendous uncertainty regarding both Wright and Conforto make this offseason tough to handicap. At least Cabrera provides some stability and flexibility.

Talk about excelling: Jannis, Peterson, Pobereyko, and Renault have combined for 43 IP, allowing just 3 earned runs, 24 hits allowed, and 42 Ks.
