ABOUT LAST GAME: The Fireflies fell to the Lakewood BlueClaws on Friday night, 12-2, in front of 6,253 fans at Spirit Communications Park. Luis CarpioAndres Gimenez, & Tim Tebow all recorded multi-hit games. It was the largest margin of defeat for Columbia in 2017.

JEDI KNIGHTS: Luis Carpio is currently on an eight-game hit streak dating back to April 26. This is the longest of the season by a Firefly to this point. Last year, David Thompson and Enmanuel Zabala recorded the longest hit streaks at 11 games each. Michael Paez is not far behind with at least a hit in each of his previous seven contests.

STORMTROOPERS: Columbia’s bullpen has been extremely reliable, pitching to a 2.84 ERA. Max Kuhns has not given up a run in his last four outings (7.2 innings). Matt Blackham leads all reinforcements with a 1.20 ERA (15 innings pitched). There has only been one instance in which a reliever has surrendered more than two earned runs in an appearance (Darwin Ramos - 3 ER, May 5).

ABOVE THE CURVE: The Fireflies need a win to avoid a losing record for the first time this season. The squad faced this same situation with a 12-12 record a few days ago and rattled off two straight wins.

THE DARK SIDE: Lakewood has five players on its active roster who are listed as Top 30 prospects in the Phillies system, according to MLB.com.
